Policy overview

This policy explains how Fauji Yatra protects and uses information provided when you browse, enquire about or purchase a product or service through our website, mobile application, call centre, booking office or another authorised sales channel.

By using a Fauji Yatra sales channel, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not submit personal information or use services that require it.

Third-party websites, apps and suppliers linked from our channels have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information directly to them.

02

Information we collect

Information requested depends on the service and may include details needed to identify travellers, complete reservations, provide support and meet supplier or legal requirements.

  • Name, gender and contact details such as phone number, email and postal address.
  • Traveller details, age and a child's date of birth when required for a booking.
  • Frequent-flyer, loyalty, eligibility or identity information where relevant to the selected fare or service.
  • Booking requests, travel preferences, enquiries and correspondence with our support team.
  • Transaction references received from payment providers; card and net-banking credentials are generally collected directly by authorised gateways or banks.

You may browse general information without identifying yourself. Some booking and support features cannot be provided if the required information is not supplied.

03

How information is used

We use relevant information to operate and improve our services, including to:

  • Create and manage reservations, vouchers, cancellations, refunds and service requests.
  • Share necessary traveller information with the airline, hotel, transport provider or other supplier connected to a booking.
  • Respond to enquiries and send booking confirmations, operational notices and service updates.
  • Maintain internal records, diagnose technical issues and improve products, website content and customer support.
  • Personalise relevant content or contact you about offers, research or promotions where permitted and unless you opt out.
  • Process cashback, discount or chargeback requests through an authorised partner when applicable.

Fauji Yatra does not sell or trade personal information without the user's consent. Information is shared only for the purposes described in this policy, with consent, or where disclosure is required by law.

04

Cookies and session data

Cookies

Cookies are small files placed by a website in your browser. They can remember preferences, support sign-in and booking functions, help us understand which pages are used and allow us to improve the next visit. Cookies do not by themselves give us access to unrelated files or information on your device.

You can configure the browser to notify you about cookies, block them or delete them. Some account, preference or booking functions may not work correctly when required cookies are disabled.

Automatic session logging

When you access our website, technical session data may be logged, including IP address, operating system, browser type, activities, visit frequency and session duration. This supports security, usage analysis, server diagnostics and administration.

Session data does not normally identify a visitor by name, although an IP address may indicate the internet service provider and approximate point of connectivity.

05

Sharing and disclosure

Personal information may be shared with airlines, hotels, transport providers, payment processors and other parties only to the extent needed to fulfil a booking, process a payment or refund, provide an approved benefit, support the platform or comply with law.

Analytics and advertising services

Where enabled in the mobile app or linked services, analytics or advertising providers may include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, AppsFlyer, Facebook conversion measurement or Crashlytics. They may use cookies, pixel tags, device identifiers, crash information and interaction data to measure visits, diagnose errors or improve relevant communications. Their processing is governed by their own policies and the configuration used by Fauji Yatra. Current provider information can be requested through the contact details below.

Legal and protective disclosure

We may disclose information in good faith where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or wrongdoing, respond to judicial or law-enforcement processes, comply with applicable law, protect our rights or property, avoid injury, or protect users and third parties.

06

Security and policy updates

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical controls intended to prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy and support appropriate use of personal information. Payment data is transmitted through secured connections and authorised payment providers.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send passwords, card PINs, CVVs or one-time passwords by email, chat or telephone.

We may update this policy as services, technology or legal requirements change. A revised version and effective date will be published on this page, so users should review it periodically.

07

Android and iOS app permissions

Where a mobile-app feature is available, it requests a device permission only when needed for that feature. You can manage permissions in the device settings.

Camera and photos

Used only for an image you choose to capture or share. We do not scan or import a photo library without permission.

Contacts

Used only for a contact-related feature you choose to use and not imported for an unrelated purpose.

Calendar

Allows you to add a selected travel plan or booking reminder to your calendar.

Location

Used with explicit permission for location-relevant results, time-zone handling or offers. Permission can be withdrawn later.

SMS

Where enabled and permitted, the app may read, analyse and upload relevant travel messages to identify a PNR or provide flight and train status updates.

Device accounts

Supports a sign-in option you select through an eligible third-party account. The third party's terms also apply.

App analytics may process usage data, crash information, device identifiers or approximate/geographical location where enabled and permitted. External-platform features, spam protection, hosting, monitoring and social interactions may also involve the relevant service provider.
